The project "The Cave and the Sky" focuses on the transformation of an abandoned parking lot in the Cité Moderne in Brussels into a primary school. Designed to respond to the specific challenges of the site, it aims to create a close connection between the architecture, the inhabitants of the city, and the social and urban issues surrounding it.
The atmosphere of our project can be likened to "the cave and the sky". These are two very strong universes brought together in an experience that multiplies sensations through each of our spaces. These spaces can be characterized as intimate, dark, and "closed" due to their materiality and depth, while, on the other hand, they are open, providing a sense of freedom and openness to the sky. This brings us back to the pure essence of our roots and vital needs: shadow and light.
